My phone never quits ringing....

Ssshhhh! Please don't tell HB. I think I must be turning into a sexy senior citizen without even knowing it!! For the past several evenings I have been getting a lot of phone calls from men!! And I'm not talking about just your ordinary everyday phone calls from friends and family.

No!! I'm getting some very important, very big name guys calling me. In fact, last night I answered the phone and who do you think it was?? None other than Bill Clinton! I guess Hillary was busy! And Arnie (for those of you not living in CA I'm referring to Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger!) calls me almost every evening just about dinner time. I'm getting a little concerned about all these phone calls from other men!! And I think HB is getting suspicious.

Seriously, I am getting tired of answering the phone only to hear some recorded message from whatever politician is running for office. Arnie has called so many times I've lost count! I guess being on the National Do Not Call list doesn't mean anything to politicians!

I'll be so glad when the elections are over and we can return to nice, pleasant uninterrupted meals.

That might be the #1 reason why I don't need a land line. I hate those political recordings....

  2. This has been the worse year I can remember. If I don't answer these guys leave messages on my voice mail!
I've even gotten two on my cell phone!
(How on earth do they get the number??)

  3. I hate those too and evidently these political recording calls do not fall under the "do not call list" from what I heard. It's disruptive and annoying enough to see all the TV slander-each-other ads w/o it being on our phones too. ACCK! 2 more days and then it's over.
    phew!
    XOXO

I agree! I only use a cell phone, but I've had a couple of those a day taking up my minutes! Grrr! Then those horrible television political adds where they are all slamming one another. Nobody even says what they stand for anyway! It's just all about putting down the other guy so that they look like the better candidate by default. I'm truly sick of it.

  6. The do not call list doesn't protect us from political canidates! And who else do we have calling this time of year. I was surprised that it was our son the other night instead of a political canidate. Now, how sad a statement is that? Don't answer! You don't need to. As the cartoon B. C. would say, "Argh!"

  8. Don't you wish you were Canadian? Joking of course! My secret to annoying phone solicitors, keep it on two rings at all times. That way I can scan my calls, and call back at my convenience....is that selfish or what? lol

Cute post Janet...I'd love to pick Clintons brain for real!! giggle giggle!

  13. Oh my gosh, this is hilarious. I have never heard of such a thing. I am quite sure Australians would never stand for it. I would not answer my phone for the entire election period.
