The Namelians Have Landed....

There has been an invasion recently! Don't worry though....they're fairly harmless. Many of you have already heard about this fromTinker! She was invaded earlier and now they've made it all the way to my house. They're called Namelians.

The only thing you really have to worry about is whether or not you have enough chocolate to pacify them. Unfortunately, since I can't eat it anymore, I don't keep chocolate I had to make a quick chocolate run before they arrived.

The first one that showed up was named Hortense....she proved to be rather greedy!

You can tell by her round, chubby body! Hortense feasted on chocolate until she couldn't eat anymore at which time she wandered off to one of the bedrooms and promptly fell asleep.

No sooner had she left when a second one appeared....Hermione!!

Hermione was looking for chocolate. I was in trouble! There wasn't any left! She was a bit angry (you can see it in her eyes!) because she was completely empty of any chocolate....see that white, vacant space....that's her empty tummy! Hermione flew around the room several times, checking to make sure there wasn't any chocolate hidden about and when she was satisfied there wasn't, she flew upstairs and woke Hortense who had drooled in her sleep and had a dribble of chocolate on her chin! Hermione was furious when she saw that. She grabbed Hortense's wing, twisted it behind her back and they both flew off together.

I'm not sure what happened next but I wouldn't want to be Hortense when Hermione gets through with her!

Keep a good supply of chocolate on hand because who might be invaded next.

  1. These Namelians are just too cute!! I think I'll have to have a go.. :)
    Thanks for sharing!!!
    Hugs n Peace, Kai.

  2. They're awfully cute. They'd never go hungry at my house! LOL!!

  3. HA HA HA hee hee - I LOVED THIS!!! Though I'm so sorry Hermione was such a pill - yes, I've had a hard time keeping a supply of chocolate in, since they landed...
I'm so glad you tried this, Janet - and I'm so glad I was able to finally see it (I don't know what's going on with the Internets the last day or two - but it's being a pain! Not just blogs, but E-mail (Mailer Daemon and I are on a first name basis now it seems - he's very jealous apparently and doesn't want me to write to anyone), comments, everything has been acting like the aliens have invaded there, too! Maybe I should offer some chocolate to the Internet gods. Hope this comment takes...Thanks for playing along!

  4. THESE ARE TOO CUTE!! Yes - I had to type in caps! I love them!! I'm definitely going to have to try them. I think I just made up my mind that my Sharpies need to go on vacation with me! We're headed out on Saturday, and I'm going to make namelians while I'm gone I think!! :)

  5. I love these! I did this on 12X18 paper a few years ago as a project with first graders. I love the way they look like weird cicadas. I never thought of doing it with my own name!! (One of the many proofs that if you're an artistic person, you should not go into teaching. You end up using your creative energy on other people.)

  6. You are so funny Janet!! I love your Namelians.

If you feed me chocolate I promise I will be good in your home to!

  7. I love the Namelians!!! I want to try... and I'm not sharing chocolate with them :-)

  8. I am having good luck with my computer tonight so I madly trying to comment around. This is just too cute, Namelians is something I am going to try. I like their names too - too bad Hermione is such a cheeky monkey or should I say cheeky alien.

  9. LoL! Brilliant, Janet. The namelians and the story :)
