They both look better in person than here in a photo. The first one has a bit of metallic in that upper right section but it shows dark here. And the bottom one has some metallic on the top of her head.
Do they need something more (or less!) .... give me some opinions about what direction I should go with them.
I'm no expert but they look good to me.
ReplyDeleteI love the collage effect you have achieved
I really love these. I am so intrigued by the process you used.
ReplyDeleteNow Janet, if we starting telling you how to do ATc's, they'd be ours , not yours..
ReplyDeleteAs thee queen of ATC's, I do give you the double thumbies up and concure that these rock as is.. Creations of yours always do.. :)
Peace, Kai
I like these a lot! especially the way you have a bit of text on them and also the intriguing faces emerging. I especially like the face with the lips...
ReplyDeleteI wouldn't want to see the newsprint everytime...but I like it here..one thing I like about your collage ATC's is the variety!
I don't know about "more or less," but I do know I like these really a lot.... I love the look of layers, and you've got it in spades... adds an element of mystery that isn't there when you make more simple collages. Did you see the article by JuJu Vail in the new Cloth Paper Scissors magazine? It's the best article I've ever seen about layering in collage and about visual brainstorming (mindmapping) the elements in a collage. If you ever have too many of these new style ATCs lurking around your studio, I'd totally love to have one. (Do you notice I'm on my knees?)
ReplyDeleteLooks great to me I am not creating art but know what pleases me!Your art is stunning!hugs NG
ReplyDeleteI agree with Kai, your ATC's are perfect as they are. And so individual.
ReplyDeleteThe backgrounds look great and the colors you have chosen work very well together.
I love the second one, it's fantastic!
I love 'em. No advice. They're way better than any ATC I've ever done. You've got the touch!
ReplyDeleteThese look pretty great to me just as they are !
ReplyDeleteAnd they look even better in person ?
Then they are fantastic ! I wouldn't change / add a thing.
You want to know my honest opinion...what I think needs to be done with these...what you should add or do??? I mean you asked....so here goes....
ReplyDeleteNOTHING!
I love them just as they are!!
Go with your gut, art is YOUR process and you NEVER do anything that isn't fabulous!
XOXO
Lisa
Hmm, I know what you should do with them - send them to me! LOL
ReplyDeleteThey look great! Trust your instincts, Janet - whatever looks good to you - it's your art, your way! That's the great thing about art - it's your vision and you can do whatever you want with it. Most of all - enjoy making it. xo
Beautiful, Janet! Love them, just as they are.. and I so envy your ability to keep them coming! Wonderful work!
ReplyDeleteHugs, Suze xXx
I LOVE THEM just as they are..
ReplyDeleteis that face on the bottom one, a stamp?
I like them - a LOT!
ReplyDeleteTo my eye, I would add a word or some text to the 2nd one. or a short quotation in an antique type or a decorative font. just an idea. :-)
ReplyDeleteI just love the layered look to these! You are good!
ReplyDeleteGreat color and style I wouldn't change a thing. I need to talk with you and find out how you are doing this....
ReplyDeleteJanet...you have such talent. These are wonderful!!!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful ATCs!!
ReplyDeleteThey look great to me!
ReplyDeleteJunie
These are my cup of tea Janet...layering is so much fun and something I'm finding I love to do. Are they your cup of tea?
ReplyDeleteTo me they look great Janet! I am all thumbs when it comes to work with papers together like that... but I think you have done a great job... wow!
ReplyDeleteI really like these, the metallic effect is lovely. No advice - just keep on keeping on:)
ReplyDeleteJanet, I've really enjoyed seeing different art pieces that you have done. I love that you follow who you are, but experiment, too!
ReplyDeleteNice cards!
Donna
I am a newbie in the ATC scenery, and have only done a few, but these two of yours are fantastic. I cannot imagine adding or changing anything. I love them just the way they are.
ReplyDeleteI also like your swap cards. You are so talented.
I think they are great, as they are.
ReplyDeleteWell, you have done it again, I just love what you do. I am so jealous because I want to do this and haven't really dug my heels in yet. Maybe I will just go for it.
ReplyDeleteJanet, I think you have so much talent, More! More!
These are both just beautiful. I would not change a thing.
ReplyDeleteI really love these! They are so beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI wish I knew how to do this.
