Beading and Thinking....

These are the three days when I'm not on the computer much (Fri - Sun) so this will be a quickie. Several of you had expressed an interest in my beaded doll so I thought I'd give you an update....

I'm almost finished with the front and have got a little bit done on the back....pictures of that later.

And just because I like doing them, here's another quiz....

Your Dominant Thinking Style: Modifying

Super logical and rational, you consider every fact available to you.
You don't make rash decisions and are rarely moved by emotion.

You prefer what's known and proven - to the new and untested.
You tend to ground those around you and add stability.

I'm not completely sure this is me!!

  4. The doll is looking fabulous, Janet!

Not too sure about ny quiz result either - I came out with "explorer" - which had some points that did and others that didn't, seem to mesh. Still fun though.

Hope you have a fun, creative weekend! ((hugs))

WOW, I just think this doll is so you and really super! I love your choice of colors. I have a ton of those little seed beads, and I have never done one thing with them. Just the fact I can never find my glasses doesn't help either! You are an inspiration as usual. :)

    Luv ya!

  16. This reminds me of Native American stuff that I've seen. Is this where this style of beading originates? I did the quiz and came out the same as you - some of the questions didn't have an answer that applied to me though so I just picked the nearest.

  19. How do you decide what shape/form to use? I tried using Violette's shape and I ...well, maybe I just need to try again.
The beading is fabulous. She's very nice and colorful.

  22. Your doll is fabulous, Janet!!! To my eyes it seems to have a bit of a SouthWest flavor. So, that, combined with the shape, gives her a bit of magic and a healing quality. Thanks so much for showing her to us in progress... can't wait to see her finished!

You "rarely moved by emotion" ??? Nope, that's not accurate. The rest might be applicable. Maybe you could take the test again at a different time of day and in a different mood... see what happens then.

  25. the doll is stunning, and the quiz fun, i also had a go. Refering to your previous post, have you tried doing corn on the cob, still in its green leaves, and also banana in its skin on a barbeque? both are popular in Zimbabwe, and delicious. I love to put chopped onion, mushrooms and a knob of butter in foil on the fire, yum.

  26. I absolutely adore the beaded doll. You must have so much patience.
I was also looking at your previous post about being so full of questions. That is very much how I am feeling these days. I can really identify.
