I just added a little color to her eyes so they didn't look so blank! I don't think I'll put anymore color on this although you never know about me.
I'm dedicating this drawing to Daisy....today would have been her birthday. I miss her and think of her often. Her blog is still on my list at Bloglines and I go back and re-read some of my favorite posts. If you're new to my blog and haven't seen Daisy's blog then give yourself a treat and go there now! You will find it a delight. Be sure to go to the archives for 2006 (it takes a bit to download) and read her wonderful stories and posts. She was an amazing woman.
Happy Birthday to Daisy...she is missed. xo
ReplyDeleteJanet your drawing is very good, as usual. Well done! I still think you should be employed in a fashion house somewhere, designing flowing gowns..

I love this drawing Janet-it would have to be my very favourite one of them all.
ReplyDeleteYour style of "doodling" is amazing..I really love it. You are so freakin' talented woman!! Have you thought of putting some stuff on Etsy?? I think you'd have great success!
ReplyDeleteI've had Daisy on my mind too..xx
ReplyDeleteI reread her posts now and then. She is missed by everyone who knew her.
Lovely doodle Janet, I love her blue eyes.

Very art deco lady! I can hardly believe what doodlers come up with! Amazing!
ReplyDeleteShe is a stylish flapper from the Roaring 20s. She may dance the Charleston and sip champagne, but she has a deep, mysterious side as well.

This drawing and dedication to Daisy is just beautiful! I am frequently thinking of Daisy..she made quite an impact on Bloglandia! She is with me in my secret garden and in my lavender patch! This past summer I found myself making a crown of lavender with her on my mind and swear it was her ~~spirit~~ that guided me!

Hi Janet, the one thing I don't like about Windows Vista so far is that I can't use some of my favorite programs with it. I have used Picture it! 2001 photo publishing for the last 6 yrs and now it won't run on Vista. and it was FREE! now I'll probably have to buy something to replace it. It was so user friendly and had a lot of fun picture options to use. oh well. one step forward, two steps back.
ReplyDeleteGreat dooldes and I like those blue eyes!
ReplyDeleteI was remembering Daisy's post about her birthday last year (i think I'll go back and re-read)...we must treasure each day, especially birthdays!
Janet I love all the new doodles plus this lady...they almost have a theme. Really wonderful! Great style. I am getting the cleaning bug too! I always do around this time of year....ever since Pepper was small.
ReplyDeleteHugs Sherrie
I still miss her, too, and I like to think she's somewhere knowing we're all thinking of her, and smiling.
ReplyDeleteLove the drawing, Janet - with just the blue from the eyes peering out, she does look very mysterious, and lovely!
Just love, I love the Mystery Woman.
ReplyDeleteOnce again, looking at your drawings I feel that you have made me want to draw again.
Your drawings are truly wonderful and inspirational
