These are my first two pages. I was just doodling and trying out different shapes.

Then I did this....

She might show up in an ACEO sometime soon. But for now I like her just the way she is....simple, basic, black and white.

And I drew her last night after HB went to bed. She's another simple, basic, gal in black and white.
That's all I have for today. HB and I have a busy day and I probably won't have much computer time until later tonight.

Janet, what is a moleskin????? I feel very out of touch!
ReplyDeleteLove your new drawings, I was pleased to know I wasn't alone when it comes to the shape of my poor house. I have promissed not to do anything but clean today...and then as I am doing the yucky stuff my head is leading me to sit down and do something creative. I am cleaning today, I am cleaning today, one more time, I am cleaning today...do you think this will work? Hugs, mary
I've heard of moleskines but haven't yet figured out what the fuss is. How are they better than any other little blank notebook?
ReplyDeleteHi Janet,
ReplyDeleteI finally got off the pad and signed up for bloglines. I guess they have to account for me yet. I love the different sorts of shapes you drew in the first two photo of your Moleskin--is this a moleskin covered book? And the ladies are neat too! Much more modern than lately! Good idea.
Oh no, something new to buy...LOL I am forever buying new art STUFF...but they sound neat. Similar to a sketchbook? Journal? Keep drawing, those are really nice Janet!!!
ReplyDeleteJanet! THaes are faboolous! Wonderful..you are an awesome artist. I love the black and whites..it is so different ! I never use my moleskie...I thin kbecause My friend's creepy ex boyfriend gave it to me..isn't that silly?
ReplyDeleteOH yeah..most people don't know but it is pronounced molaskeena ...think Italian..that's where the original type of note book was introduced! THe cover is a type of oilcloth. the pages are cream color and very easy to write or draw on! OH..I am answering your reader's comments! ha ha sorry!
ReplyDeleteJanet - First of all, I saw your post on Gemma's blog and I, too, so wish I could be there with the Glitter Sisters. Maybe someday.
ReplyDeleteKudos to you on starting your moleskine. I bought one months ago but have not touched it. Thanks to your prompting, I will, I will.
Loved the drawings, and I'm all for whatever it take to motivate,
ReplyDeletenew journal, new pens, different kind of paper, seeing someone else's art, looks like you are gifted to motivate others.
BE BLESSED :-)

ReplyDeleteOK this was supposed to be a SECRET smile just for YOU.......so please ignore the above...I was being DUH! Here is a true secret smile JUST FOR YOU! :)
ReplyDeleteHi Janet! cool drawings!. The only moleskine I have is 3" x 5". a bit small for drawings, but I do have a large sketchbook I have waiting for me.
ReplyDeleteJanet you've started your moleskin out with some fantastic art. I absolutely love all 3 entries. I haven't worked in a moleskin because I'm afraid I'd mess up. Silly I know, but by working in something different I dont feel that pressure.
ReplyDeleteWow...love your drawings!!!!
ReplyDeleteLove your sketches and doodles, Janet!
ReplyDeleteWanted to tell you too - your comment made me laugh - too funny!
Yeah, I don't think I'd dare leap without one on, lol.
Even your handwriting is beautiful!
ReplyDelete:-P
I like your doodle designs....cool!
ReplyDeleteHey do you m ind if I ask what kind of markers/inks you use? I love inks and the control you get with them.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful drawings, Janet. Love your ladies! It's great to feel inspired by some new materials. The only thing that puts me off Moleskins is the fact I see so much wonderful artwork that's divided down the middle. For some reason it unsettles me. I'm glad you're keeping to single sides for now!
ReplyDeleteYou asked about my joiners, so I've put together a very rough guide to them on my blog, should you care to step by.
Have fun. x
I love moleskins! All my recent journal entries are done in a moleskin. The black cover hiding art makes me happy for some reason. Your drawings and "doodles" are beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI kept reading about moleskines online, too, and finally broke down last year and bought one. I admit it, they really are special. Love your drawings!
