No, I'm not Irish....at least not that I'm aware of but my kids are half Irish so does that count?
I've never been one to celebrate St. Patrick's Day very much since I don't like corned beef and cabbage (I'm a vegetarian) and I don't like beer, green or otherwise, and I also don't like Irish, or any other kind of, whiskey. I can't dance very good so a jig is out of the question, and green really isn't my color! So I guess it's a good thing I'm not Irish!
But I couldn't let the day go by without some kind of acknowledgement so after a long session with Lisa where I learned so many things, I am now able to navigate around my new program and actually do painting with it!! I made something "green" to celebrate.
Here's proof that I can actually use my new toy! I took one of my ladies and put some color on her. Now please remember this is my very first try at this. I chose Lettuce Lady because she looks good in green!
Here she is before....

And here she is after a few minutes with my new toy....
Isn't that cool? Poor HB may not see much of me for a few days! I'll be locked in the office, hogging all the computer time while I paint and play! I did Lettuce Lady in just a few minutes so she isn't perfect but I wanted to let you see what I was able to accomplish after only a short amount of time and some great instructions from Lisa. Thank you, Lisa!!!
I love lettuce lady!! I had to Howl outloud with giggling fun at your list!! You are so adorable! Well, can I offer some, green cake? That could be fun??? xo
ReplyDeleteWow Janet Lettuce Lady is great and I am so glad that you have a grip on the program now----onwards and upwards from here on.
ReplyDeleteShe is lovely,

How cool is that! Wonderful. Thank you Lisa for all the wonderful teaching you've done and see Janet, it isn't that you are stupid or any such thing, you just need a one on one instructor. That is great!
ReplyDeleteI'm half-Irish and vegan so I'd have trouble with the meat and dairy dishes too.
ReplyDeleteWell done on your Lettuce Lady, Janet! Very nice ~ :)
So glad you were able to find someone that could help....COLOR..
ReplyDeleteYeah! I love the drawing and the color is perfect. p.s. I'm a good part Irish, but I'm not telling.
She's so beautiful! By George I think you've got it!! I was SO happy to help and ANY time you have any questions feel free to ask!
ReplyDeleteXOXO
Lettuce Lady is perfect. Thank you Lisa, now do you think she can help me with my printer problem?
ReplyDeleteGlad you got on top of your new toy.
She is wonderful I love the shading...what a great idea to do a lettuce lady...aren't new toys fun?
ReplyDeleteJanet, she's GORGEOUS - she's wearing my favorite colors - green AND purple!
ReplyDeleteThese new toys you and Lisa have found, are fantastic. I love what you are doing with it - makes me want to win the lottery more than ever, lol. But guess I'll just have to save up.
Though I don't drink green beer or whiskey, green or otherwise, I've always liked the day for all the Irish music and silliness, and getting to wear green (my co-favorite color - it shows off purple so well, lol)...Though I've been eliminating meat from my diet, I do tend to fall off the veggie wagon on holidays for these traditional feasts that I end up cooking for the family...
Anyway, Happy St. Patrick's Day -and I'll be back in a few days.
I tried to get onto your blog the other day, and it wouldn't come up. Glad I tried again before going, I wouldn't have wanted to miss seeing your Lettuce Lady!
I have seen a lot of your lovely ladies before, but lettuce lady is the best of all. I love the shading effects. Very nice.
ReplyDeleteI just adore these ladies of yours….
ReplyDeleteShe is so lovely….

ReplyDeleteThat lady is fabulous! I can't believe you made her after just a little practice. WOW!
ReplyDeleteShe is so beautiful. I'm so glad that you were able to get some assistance and figure out your new software. After seeing what you and Lisa are doing with this, I'm very tempted toward a purchase. I'm looking forward to seeing what you do next.
ReplyDeleteshe's lovely, with and without colour. That toy looks positively addictive! been MIA for a while, hectic hectic, but hopefully back to more regular blogging and visits now.
ReplyDeleteYou are really doing some nice things with the new progran! You are right that HB won't get the computer now! LOL!
ReplyDeleteLettuce lady is fantastic. The program is going to give you hours of fun, creating and colouring.
ReplyDeleteIf this is a first effort, you are going to do some real masterpieces I can tell..!!

You lettuce lady is beautiful! I think you've come a long way from the "frustration" post of the other day. So glad that Lisa is using the same thing and could help you over some humps.
ReplyDeleteAll technology is so frustrating to me -- but I'm a tinker'er -- so I just turn it on, mess, fuss, lots of times lose a buncha stuff and eventually... My hubby is always on me to actually use the tutorial dvds or to search YouTube for "how tos", but I'm so lame about it.
Anyway, really glad you are starting to have fun with it and not just frustration. It really can be amazing after it begins to bend to one's own manipulation, you know?
Lots of gooooood tinkering and figuring vibes to you -- the lettuce lady is a good indication that you definitely have vision for using the tools! Paint On!
Miracles,
k-
Lovely Janet!
