Another Quiet Sunday....

While this is Father's Day I'm not going to do anything about my dad on here today. If you have read my blog for a long time, you'll know that I did not have a good relationship with my dad so the less said the better.

I will however wish a Happy Father's Day to HB (he's still out of town) and all the other dads out there....I'm sure there aren't any who read my blog though!

Things have been pretty quiet around here. I'm feeling better each day and if I could only get rid of all the congestion I think I'd be just fine. Each evening I have been drawing something or doing some kind of little art so that I don't lose my mojo. Last night I worked in my moleskine....something I haven't done in about two weeks! Nothing great but a little face sketch....

This is the first color I've added to my moleskine! I just used colored pencils since they were right beside me at the time. I also colored in the big-eyed girl from before. I used my markers for her....

Ok, that's about all I have today. I'm still getting around to all those blog posts I missed so you'll be seeing me soon.

  1. These faces look very happy! Color in the moleskine -- you must be feeling better!

  2. Oh how fun these girls are! Some dads are over rated for sure! I had a good one, my child not so much! I'm sorry for the both of you!

Love the color in the girls they are so joyful! Hope you feel better soon, I heard there are three nasty viruses out there. My daughter had one too!
    Take care!

    Love Sherrie

  3. I hope you get better real soon Janet there's nothing worse than not feeling well.

  4. Glad you are recuperating Janet!
That big eyed girl is awesome and I love the colors you added to her.

  5. I really like the color, Janet, and I hope you feel even better today!

Janet what wonderful works! I love their faces! :) Thanks so much for sharing them with us!

  7. Love seeing your ladies in color. Hope HB had a happy Father's Day.
    I'm glad you're starting to feel a little better - hope you're feeling a 1005 better soon!

  8. Oops - that was supposed to be, "I hope you're feeling 100 Percent better" - not 1005, lol

  9. I am so glad you are feeling better. These gals are wild and fun! My Dad passed in 1999 so the kids make a big deal for their Dad, I get to kick back and let it be their thing.

  11. These are awesome. Love the bright colors.

  12. Glad that you're on the mend.

I love the new girl. Your art has such beautiful lines. I love your black and white stuff, but the color you added in these is fabulous.

  13. color on your girls..
    Looks great..

    Hope you are feeling better...

  14. Glad you are beginning to feel better at last, this bug has certainly taken a liking to you:)

  15. I love them both. Some Dads aren't very good and some Moms aren't either, but I bet they do the best they can. It is sad when they don't match our measure and I'm glad to see you drawing again. Wonderful.

  16. I love your art. I just reopened my blog and haven't posted any of my work yet - that's coming - I just have to remember where I put it - haha. Seriously, your work is really wonderful and different - I am impressed.

  17. Boy this has been a terrible summer for colds! I'm glad to hear you are on the mend.

    P.S. The drawings are wonderful!!

  18. Hi Janet,

Popping in to say hello! I love all the latest pieces and sketching and markers... whoo! You are so talented. I hope you're continuing to have a creative week!

What a fun blog you have!! And I love your self description! ;) I hope you are enjoying your quest to finding your passions! Your paintings are lovely!

  20. Glad you're feeling better, Janet.

Your ladies are evolving into very stylistic and elegant beings. I enjoy the way their eyes extend beyond their faces. Neat. x

  21. Glad you're up to doing a little art. Must mean you've licked this bug and are on the road to being better.

  22. Janet
Sorry about your dad. At least you married one that IS good. HB is a good one.
Happy belated fathers day to HB!!!!
Love the lady with colour on her.

  23. I understand re. your kids feel the same about their Dad.

I can empathise re. the bug because I'm trying to get rid of one too. Glad to hear you're feeling lots better though.

Your ladies came up lovely in colour!
