And the Heat Goes On....

It was great having HB home over the 4th but he's back at work now so I'm here on my own again.

Being that we live in the high desert, the temperatures go up and up during the summer months and I'm not a hot weather person!

So with that in mind, I think I'll take some time off from blogging and try to stay cool.

I won't be away for a long time, and I'll continue to read your blogs every chance I get but I just won't be posting anything on a regular basis while it's so hot.

Hugs,

  2. And here I am complaining about our heat, and I am sure yours is much worse.

Love the sun drawing, it is perfect.

We have the A/C going all the time.
Can you imagine, I am knitting socks in this heat! LOL

  3. How ironic -- usually it's a tad cooler there and hot hot hot here in Michigan. Well, tonight is muggy to the max and pretty warm, but it has been on the cool side here. We're finally able to get away for a few days -- the patient is at his mom's and if we're lucky, we'll hit the road tomorrow. I am eager to get away and relax a bit. I'm not sure I'll be able to post either, so we're in the same boat. Keep cool, if you can.

  6. I wish I could send you some of our cold weather to cool you down.
It's hard to create when your brain is getting fried isn't it.
    Take care

  7. I absolutely understand how you feel. I'm melting here in California. I've been praying for rain. The next step will be a rain dance.

  9. Hope you are managing to stay cool - it must be wearing to have such high temperatures day after day. Not having that problem here - it's another wonderful, wet British summer!

  10. But...but...but - that sun is fabulous - at least in your drawing.
I'm not a hot weather person either but seeing the sun would be nice - we're suffering a really wet summer over here. Is there anyone who's happy with their summer right now? LOL. x

I too don’t care for the hot weather…

    I guess I am looking for paradise…

Take care and drink a lot of water…

  16. It is hot here too, and what did I do? Ran down to a really crudy area of town, near downtown and it was hot all the way there and back, but I got all the wrong things returned and the good things home and/or ordered. It is a surprise to the business when their web site works. Not a good omen! Yikes.

  24. So sorry to hear it is so hot over there Janet. We had a hot summer here in Australia and I know how exhausting it can be.

  25. I am reminded that our winter is very short but the hot times go on for ever, or seem to! We have a glorious Autumn though, and the Spring is delightful (if changeable) . But the summer!!!! November till March stinks! Not every day. In fact, checking my diary, I see we only have the air con on about two weeks every summer. But we have a humid climate which drags one down. I was moaning about being cold yeaterday. I think your Blog has made me appreciate what I have!

  26. I understand Janet. Heat can really drain all of your energy at least that is what it does to me. :) We will miss your posts. Can't wait until you come back but take your time.

  29. thinking of you, heat is so energy sapping and you are still recovering from that bug so it must be really tiring, take it easy! I'm glad you are listening to your body, even if it means missing you for a bit! Hugs.
