Is It Big Enough??

I might be watching a bit more TV since we just bought the new 52" TV (boys and their toys!!) and the new console....I tried to get a good photo but the lighting wasn't right so this is the best I could do.

That's Harley sitting in the window. And the picture that's hanging above the TV isn't staying but I just didn't get it taken down yet. We did all this last night after HB got home from work and my house is a wreck! There is styrofoam and packing stuff all over the place not to mention the two huge boxes everything came in! The old TV is going to our bedroom to replace the really old one that's up there now. The old entertainment unit is sitting in my dining room right now and I have no idea what's going to happen to it. Maybe a trip to the Goodwill is in order!

Now I'm just waiting for "Lost" to come back on so I can see all my bad boys HUGE!!

Since HB has a four-day weekend, I may not be around Blogland much until after the first. I'm hoping to get some art done but we also have plans to begin cleaning out and re-organizing the garage (fun, huh!) so maybe art will have to wait.

  1. It's a novelty, eventually you will be right back to the internet or creating in your studio. I watch just to be with my family, but it's not long and I'm itching to get on the net, do art, or play scrabble. My art supplies sit next to my couch, I have old towels I spread all around so I can walk and chew gum. Or paint and watch (listen) so to speak!
I'm sure you'll enjoy it as the new season of shows comes on!!

  2. I hear ya when it comes to boys . . . but I do have to admit, we have one large screen and it is nice to sit and watch special shows (like the olympics) on it. I love Harley! Awww. B&W kitties are just the sweeetest! Enjoy your hubby and the long weekend! We're heading south to ward off Gustav!! xo

  3. I sit and work with "Without a Trace" as background noise because I can keep up just by listening, and Jack's voice is pretty darn sexy!

  7. Well, that's one snazzy looking telly!

I hate when my boys buy new equipment for their rooms, or gym stuff, as it's usually up to me to find a storage space for the replaced item, just in case they want it down the track. lol

  9. that is a BIG tv!! My boy would probably love a toy like this too and is just waiting for our old one to go on the blink so that he has an excuse to get a big new one! I cant imagine watching tv on one so big... is it better than the smaller ones?

  10. oh its huge! my swampy would love that so much! i would love to actually have a smaller tv and when our old one went on the fritz i could see the chance of 'downsizing'~until my mum gave us her tv when my sisters b/f gave them a flatscreen...hopes dashed!

  11. Love your new TV. We got a flat screen (not that big) some time ago, and the high def programs are sooooo good. Nothing like looking at food in high def!

Have a great love weekend, Janet!

  12. G would be so envious to see this new toy! We have a big screen TV but it's the old rear projection kind - the pic is lousy and it takes up way too much space. He REALLY wants a flat screen...some day!
If for nothing else it's great to have a good picture and size for watching DVDS! and for me....to watch my shows like Project Runway and Dancing with the Stars. I know I know....I do watch other things too! heehee!!
    XOXOXO

  13. Oh yeah! Things do look better on a bigger screen. 'Cept Lee always watches ESPN....and John Wayne. Thats when I get on the PC!
Yep ESPN is on right now!

  14. Congratulations! I do the graduating TVs, too -- eventually it ends up at the lake, and after that... my recommendation -- either get a converter box for it (and put it away) or unload it now, for after digital day, analog TVs are going to be harder to unload!

Have a fun holiday weekend. Sounds like it will be good to have him home!

  15. I think that's the size my in-laws have. I have to stand in the kitchen to watch it. It's so wide that the picture doesn't fit it right and all the people look shorter and fatter than they really are.

  16. I would have loved to have watched the olympics on that! WOWZA!!

  17. oh What FUN

Now you have your own movie theater at home practically. I hope you have some good movies for the weekend - You are brave to tackle garage stuff in this heat. I oughta...I really SHOULD , I thought about it and we even discussed it....but ! I vote no garage cleaning this weekend.

Have fun with DH for FOUR days off. YAY.

  22. Crikey - that's one big screen. I can imagine some certain male stars looking even cuter on this but maybe there are some best left small. LOL.

  23. Wow..!
We watched a doc. on the Rockies last night and the photography was fantastic. We both said how good it would look on a big screen HDTV.

    When's movie night..?
