Would You Believe....

As you know we live in Southern California in the high desert. This is what I woke up to this morning....this is looking out my front door.

And this is what it looks like at 11 AM....

My son went next door to take a photo of this....

It isn't often you see a palm tree standing in the snow!!!!

What kind of weather are you having? It's still snowing here! It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!

We have had -19 F every morning for three days in a row. Are our thermometers stuck?

Up here in Sac we ar in the mid 40's and low 30's at night. The winds do add a chill factor. We have deen doing kinda sun cold one day, showers cold the next. Very on and off.

  8. Wow! That's incredible.

We've had 20 - 30 degree during the day with ice. I heard that the west side received snow flurries but nothing like what you're showing us.

  9. Well how cool is that Janet--enjoy it while you can.
I say that because we don't get snow here very much and if we do it goes as fast as if comes.

  14. I heard this morning that it was snowing in California and Las Vegas. I immediately thought of you.

What nice and unusual pictures for you to keep.

We are supposed to have a lot of snow tomorrow and on Sunday. I only hate it because of the traffic. It get so messy.

  16. It is in the 70's here ! Nothing like " a little" snow to set the mood. And how true, you do not see palm trees in the snow very often.
I would like to see a little ground
cover for Christmas day but I doubt
that will happen . BE BLESSED

  18. How cool for you! It rarely snows here in GA. It has been up in the 70's so I can't wear my Christmas attire. We will be going to Indiana for Christmas so we may get snow. The roads have been slick up there which I am not looking forward to being on. Enjoy the snow while it lasts. Merry Christmas!

  19. What beautiful photo's Janet! I always think snow looks magical (and also realise that the reality is much colder and wetter than I think).

We are having a cool Aussie summer at the moment but I am sure it will be very warm before we know it!

Sending much love to you and your family at Christmas.
