One World One Heart Continues....

Whew!! I'm having trouble keeping up with all the comments on my giveaway! If you've entered, thank you and I'll do my best to get around to visit your blog, too. If you haven't entered then take a couple of minutes to do so on the previous post if you would like a chance to win a one year digital subscription to either Cloth Paper Scissors or Quilting Arts magazine. To be entered you must post a comment on the previous post only.

I'm so glad I was able to participate in One World One Heart this year. Even though I didn't actually make something I still think I have a giveaway that most people would enjoy winning.

*********************************************

Today is such a significant day in our history. I watched as President Obama was sworn in, and I listened to his acceptance speech....which I thought was great! I have this feeling of hope and well-being that I haven't had in many years. I think our One World One Heart participation goes hand in hand with what is happening all around this country and hopefully the rest of the world. We're all reaching out, touching others, learning about other people, other countries, other lives. If we can just get past old judgements, old beliefs, old myths, then we can realize that we are all the same....just human beings. We're all trying to live our lives in the best possible way, and to be creative and share our talents with others. If we can do this in Blogland then we should be able to do it out there in the rest of the world.

I hope everyone has a great day....and get out there and visit all the blogs participating in this huge giveaway. There are some amazing things you could win.

  10. I'm still buzzing from the moment myself. Almost unable to put words to the feelings of hope, pride, determination, compassion and love for the people who make up this country (something I admit to having felt a bit lacking for the last 8 years). The comradery of those 2 million people all colors filled with joy was perhaps the most striking image I can remember in my lifetime.

We have a lot of work to do now, and for the first time in a long time, I can feel it being possible. We all need to keep this flame alive in all of us and not succumb to the apathy of everyday life. Instead, discover how our everyday, and help feed the flame...which I think is so represented by One World One Heart...what a joyous occasion to connect and inspire one another!

    Blessings!
