To all my friends in Australia....

Picture from the web

I hope you're safe from the wildfires raging through your country, and I hope you get some relief from the blazing temperatures you've been experiencing.

My thoughts are with you and I'll be doing a little rain dance to see if that helps!!

Stay safe, my friends.

  4. Thanks so much for your caring post, Janet. I'm lucky in that I'm up in Queensland but my heart goes out to our southern neighbours where the bushfires are raging. The death toll has officially reached 25 and is climbing....it's a devastating and tragic situation. :(

Hi janet - I rang DD this morning who lives near the fires and she said they are having a little rain today and a cooler week forecast before it warms up again. Maybe your rain dance helped?

  7. Arney and I were watching the news and this is awful. They seem to think someone set these fires, sounds like most of our fires her in the states. I wish we could send you our rain storm that is coming in tomorrow.
    Hugs, Mary
Janet, thank you for putting yourself on the Followers list, you were my first as always.

  8. Thank you so much Janet. Most of the fires are on the East Coast (where I have friends) but we had fires within a hundred meters/yards of my house for most of yesterday and last night. This is so much bigger than we have ever seen before and so destructive.

  9. Thanks Janet. my home is safe at the moment. a 15yr old was caught just up the road, lighting a fire in the bush. can you believe it.
I think our whole country is in shock and disbelief right now.

  11. just popping in to let you know that it is now raining and temps are around 60 or so. can you believe the sudden drop. it is madness. Unfortunately where the fires are at the moment, there is no sign of rain.. just more heat.
thanks everyone in blogworld for your thoughts and prayers, I know they must help xo
