Mama's Tulips....

This is just going to be a quickie! I've been putting things off all week so I could play in the studio and guess what....they've finally caught up with me! The dust bunnies formed a posse and came looking for me! The laundry is at critical mass and every room in the house is either complaining or threatening to go on strike if I don't pay some attention!

Yesterday I was just winging it and I did this piece. I'm calling it "Mama's Tulips" even though they aren't exactly tulip shaped!! My mom had a tulip bed in the front yard and every Spring when I see tulips begin poking their heads out, it reminds me of her....

What do you think?? Do you like it or not? I like it but then I have sentimental attachment because of the subject.

  1. I LOVE it! There must be a dust bunny union that sends out memos of when to let themselves be seen. It's like all of a sudden there they are, marching across the floor to say hello. Mostly I think that dust bunnies need homes, too. That is, until they become the size of small children. At that point the vacuum comes in very handy.

  6. Well, I love tulips! I love your tulips and I think they are just fine. My grandpa died one year on my birthday and I think of tulips blooming, and my birthday and my grandpa dying - it was a blessing as he had lung cancer - when all of life was going on. So, yes, tulips are special to me and I love yours.
