My Tree Today....Getting Arboreal

Several days ago Julie posted an idea about taking a picture of a tree three different times a year to see what changed. I liked the idea, made a note, and then promptly forgot until Lee posted her tree picture. So I grabbed my camera, ran out the back door and snapped a couple of pictures of one of the trees in our backyard....

And here it is again; this time taken from the patio....the tree is straight ahead from our back doors so I see it all the time. I think it's called a Raywood tree.

I will be posting pictures of the same tree again the week of Nov 8 and then again the week of April 4, 2010. Thanks, Julie, this is fun. And thanks, Lee, for reminding me!

And here is my journal page for today....

Aug 25:

I hope you're all having a nice, peaceful afternoon....

What a great idea! I've been taking pics of our pumpkin and little sunflower throughout the summer, as they progress. I'm not sure if I can get a good angle on our trees (they're mostly pretty up close to the house), but I'll see...

Great Idea, what is the tree on the right of it? Looks like some really large fruit on it.

It is a good idea and one I might try. Did you write down the dates in your calender? I'd have to.

What a beautiful view you have! I love trees, too, so I think this is a terrific idea.

Maybe I'll do this with a maple tree we have. . . They have such beautiful fall color.
:0)
Thanks for the inspiration!

Hugs,
Angela

Hi Janet ~ It's been awhile , hope all is well with you. I love this idea too , but I've really enjoyed looking at your journal pages. Your sunset page is wonderful. You've inspired me to start journaling again. I've been so busy with gardening , grands and life , that I've let art fall to the wayside. I think I'll get creative and make a journal page tonight , thanks for inspiring me.

~ Many Blessings ~

It has a beautiful shape, what kind of tree is it? It's good to have a favorite tree right in your back yard. I had to drive around and around to remember where I took the first picture of my beloved tree. Of course, that's like looking up a word in the dictionary because I came home with pictures of at least a dozen more trees that I fell in love with. :)Bea

What a beautiful tree! I love all trees - one wonderful thing of living again inPetropolis is being able to once more enjoy the secular trees that lives in all streets here. Can't wait to see more photos along the year! :o)

A big thank you for your sweet support, Janet. Its so necessary in this time when I feel so fragile and insecure about the future. It warms my heart. My blogger friends didn't fail me...

Kisses and love from the two of us.
