And now I'm here to show you my latest couple of pages....the one from yesterday (I finally finished it last night) and the one for today.

Unfortunately the number 30 doesn't show up too good. And if you aren't as old as dirt like me then you won't know who Englebert Humperdinck is....and yes, that's his name! I spelled it wrong on my page but that's ok. I don't think he'll ever see it!
It's back to being hot here and I think we might even have a little humidity today....yuk! So I'm outta here! I'm going to lounge about on the couch and eat bonbons and read a book. I hope where you are it's cool.
I love 'The Philanthropist'...it's a wonderful show and brings important issues to the forefront! As a 53 year old woman I do know who Englebert Humperdink...my Mom loved him and aslo Tom Jones and I heard that music playing all the time at my house! Thanks for the fun memory!!!
ReplyDeleteI love "The Philantropist" too... and thought that it portrayed the problem in the country I know very well. But beside all the important things - don't you think that he is cute? I do.

I 'm almost as old as you janet...lol and yes I used to love dancing to his records... I had the last waltz with you... what a beautiful tune... rermember him well! we dont have the show here thought. Will have to take a look for it thru your links.

ReplyDeleteThank you so much for the lovely card. It was here when I arrived back from Ventura last night. If you want to be cool, no, make that cold, that's where you need to go. I about froze to death while there. I, of course, did not take anything warm to wear because it never occurred to me that the weather would be so not summer-like.

OH, love the pages! Espiecally your "ah ha" page. And I remember good ole Englegert. Not that I am old as dirt,lol, but my Mom drug me to all his concerts and he was mighty fine looking too(still is).
ReplyDeleteMom bought the Neil Diamond DVD from his World tour this past year.
It is AWESOME! Also comes with a CD with all his hits. Only $12 for both at Wallys. It was filmed at Madison Square Gardens last summer.
I still like all the older singers, but I have always had a thing for older men! lol.

Ohhhhhhhh....again, Janet, we love the SAME SHOW...*smile*..The Philanthropist is always getting into some melee~! And, the loss of his son brings him so close to the children...Great show...Your pages are GREAT...Love the Yin/Yang one! Yes, I have to admit that I loved Engelbert, too!
