Preggers!!

No, it's not some medical miracle! Don't alert the news reporters! I'm NOT pregnant!! But I am doing an ATC swap and the theme is pregnancy/babies/maternity. It's over at Willowing and Friends and the theme is because Tam is pregnant and due any day now.

So I was trying to get in the mood to make a baby-related ATC when I decided to play around on some more of my red rosin paper. And this is what I did....

This piece is about the same size as the woman I did on this paper earlier....I'm estimating it's about 8" square, more or less. The white circles and such aren't showing up very good on her tummy but in person they look good.

And just because I'm always feeling a bit nutty....

This is one of the jars of almonds I now have in the fridge. And Sharon, if you send Chester here to visit he will never want to leave!! For those of you who don't know, Chester is a squirrel. He might have to fight me for the almonds!! They are so yummy.

I don't have my journal page completed for today....yet! I have it painted but I'm having a brain meltdown over the prompt so I'm working through it. I should have it for you tomorrow.

Hope you're having a very creative day....

  4. That red rosin paper looks fine...I guess you are using gesso over it? The preggers gal..very nice. Can I send Sammy Tyler over to your house to hang out with Chester to munch almonds? I don't have a pic of him on my blog, but I think I have one on my Flickr page. He's an adventurous little critter.

  16. Janet, this is very good. Really, it is as good as many, many advertising graphic arts themes I have seen. You should shop this around. I am sure there are many organizations that deal with the miracle of pregancy that could use this as a logo.

  17. LOVE the preggers painting...I particularly love the white markings on her belly.

I love nuts too.....I like to munch on walnuts or almonds....they have Omega 3's and antioxidants. I have to be careful not to pig out on them though because they are fattening too. :(

  18. This is wonderful, Janet. I agree with what Julie said about it. It's very stylized and would make a great logo! I like almonds and they are so good for you...I can't imagine being able to go out and pick them off one's own tree/s. I joined Tam's group this monring. What is one more group, huh? Which art classes do you have coming up? I probably can't take any until October, I shall have to see.
    Hugs,
    Mary
