I survived the Thanksgiving meal!! And I ate way too much....and I'm still eating too much....we have lots of leftovers. We had so much food this year. And a great group of people, as always. I hope you all had a great Thanksgiving dinner, too.
Now it's on to Christmas! I haven't even started getting out my decorations. It will just be me and HB this year so I may not do all the stuff I usually do when we're going to have people here.
And I feel as if it's been months since I've been in the studio. I'm getting anxious to get back to doing art all the time. Lots of ideas swirling around in my head.
I think I may have my desktop computer back sometime this week. We took it in to be repaired and we should have it back by Tuesday if all goes as planned. Keep your fingers crossed for me. I'm lost without it.
Ok, that's about all the update I have at the moment....it seems so boring to not be able to put pictures on my blog but until my other computer comes home I'm stuck.
Thanks to everyone who stops by to visit and comment. I tried to catch up on all your blogs this morning....until I ran out of time.
Sounds like a really lovely Thanksgiving. I have the Christmas spirit BAD this year! :) Glad you're getting your desktop back. It was really nice to see you over at my place today.
ReplyDeleteI know how holidays can interfere with being in the studio! With a quiet Christmas ahead, you will have more time for art!
ReplyDeleteI am forcing(?) myself to "paint anyway"...I can fall into a lazy pattern when I work full time elsewhere. Now out to find those paint brushes! (maybe will decorate for Christmas later...???)
Crossing my fingers so you can get your computer quickly. It's insane how much we rely on this machine, isn't it?
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Sophie
I'm glad to hear that you and HB had a lovely Thanksgiving, Janet. I'm still trying to figure out where we are going to put the tree this year as my new studio area is in the place where we normally put the tree. Dilemma!
ReplyDeleteHope the 'puter is back and working well soon! Enjoy the leftovers!
ReplyDeleteoh no! computer problems again! I'm glad to hear to you had a great Thanksgiving. we're just finishing up our leftovers finally! Happy holidays! enjoy the season!
ReplyDeleteWe had a great T-day as well...the leftover are almost gone...if there are anymore left, the dog will get them. Yes, I'm eager to start doing some arty type stuff for a change!
ReplyDeleteGlad you had a wonderful Thanksgiving. Hope your computer is up soon.

Hope you had a great Thanksgiving. Isn't it silly how we always get in way too much food for these things!
ReplyDeleteWe don't have Thanksgiving here, so Christmas is the holiday when my family is all together here at mom's. And we all eat to much as well! LOL It's a fun time, specially for the kids - they still believe in Santa, so we hide the presents and keep them on my brother's room until everything is set under the tree, it's sweet!
ReplyDeleteI hope you create a lot and your computer is back asap! :o)
Kisses and love from us.
Survival skills sure are useful for this time of year, aren't they Janet? LOL
ReplyDeleteT'giving behind us for another year. I didn't think the leftovers would ever go away (and we had a small gathering). What is it about Thanksgiving. It's like Loaves and Fishes.
Blessing during this Christmas season.
Annie
happy holidays......Idont think I am going to put up to much of my usual christmas stuff either. I put things up around the 13 and always take it down the 26th. By then I am sick of it.
ReplyDeleteSo glad you had a good Thanksgiving. I know what you mean about the computer. Things just don't seem right unless you are in your own element.
ReplyDeleteWe have so many projects going on in the house that I may do the same with Christmas dec. I already feel overwhelmed and the lack of creativity continues for the time being. Grrrrrr. Definitely making me cranky.
Yep..i hear ya. Same here too. I need to gear up for Christmas!
ReplyDeleteStuffed and having fun, my kind of holiday.
ReplyDeleteI would be lost without Emma my desktop, I try to think that it would be okay without her, but I know better.
Arney is baking banana bread, we had all these banana's and no one was eating them. I can smell it as I write you.
I will be glad when I have time for somethings that have nothing to do with Bazaar or Christmas...my HO HO is fine, but I feel like it has been a long time since it was about just the doing.
Looking forward to your first post after your computer comes home.
Love, Mary
Glad you had a wonderful Thanksgiving. We had lots of food, family and fun as well. Today I froze some stuff and threw the rest, we had Italian for dinner.
ReplyDeleteSo glad you stopped by Janet, I have missed you! I would be lost without my laptop. I hope you get your computer back this week. We got our lights up on the house on saturday and my tree and house decorated on sunday. I am helping Mom next week-end with her deco.
ReplyDeleteGlad you had a great Thanksgiving!
