No Art....Just Me and Trees

HB and I have been so busy getting things done for the upcoming holidays and I fear I've been neglecting just about everything else....my blog....my art....my friends. I have about half of my Christmas cards finished and that's the only artsy thing I've done in such a long time. I'm getting anxious to get back to the studio and do some painting.

*********************************************

I received this blog award....

from Mar. I'm supposed to tell you five things about myself that you don't already know. Since I've done so many memes over the years I'm sure you know more about me than most of my family does! So I'm skipping that part! Thanks, Mar!!

********************************************

When I posted the Getting Arboreal photos a few post back, I mentioned that my tree would turn a beautiful red color. Well, it still hasn't completely turned yet but this tree is the same kind and it lives in my neighbor's yard across the street....

I can look out the front windows and see this tree. Isn't it beautiful!! Mine will eventually look like this but it's taking its sweet time about getting there!

This is a view down our street....

Even though we're in Southern California we still get a little bit of the fall colors!

Now I'm off to do windows! I hope you have a beautiful day and that you're doing something fun!!

  4. What lovely trees. Storms have seen off all our remaining leaves this week apart from a Cotinus bush which is still hanging on for all it's worth.
Well done you for cracking on with the dreaded cards. I've had mine printed this year!
(The word verification is 'raiging' LOL!)

  8. This is a beautiful tree. I would love to have one just like it.
ours are almost bare. We have more wind coming so I figure it will finish them,
I got my cards done, but haven't wrote in them yet. I have to many things on my plate...Christmas will be here before I can think.
    But I always feel behind.
    Big hugs, Mary

  12. I woke up in a cold sweat last night knowing I had four weeks to think of gifts for the men in my family - always tricky! Good luck with it all!

  14. Christmas cards? OMG. there is no way I can even think about Christmas cards without getting stressed. I used to send them, but now I just can't. All I'm thinking about these days, anyway, is sewing and getting work done before Thanksgiving and then, I'm sure, it'll be getting stuff done before Christmas.

    The tree is beautiful.

    Hugs,
    Tamerie

  19. You're not the only one who is finding too many things to do and not enough time to fit them all in:) Both blogging and commenting have been low on my list recently. The tree in your neighbours yard is beautiful, here the trees are all bare of leaves now.

  20. My ornamental pear trees are starting to turn red, they are late this year though. The rest of the leaves are almost gone now.
I am going to start on Xmas cards while I am off this week but I am going to go digital this year.
Hope you have a Great Thanksgiving!

  21. The trees are glorious and I'm surprised they go so deep red. I thought they needed really cold nights for that.
I've promised I will get into Christmas preps this week. It is only a month away..
    hugs
    xx
