It's All Over....

Whew! The Academy Awards are over. My feet are killing me and I still have a fuzzy head from all the champagne I drank last night! The parties went on forever and Josh and I made it to all of them! He definitely wanted to be seen with me!! But sadly I couldn't get him to give up any of the "Lost" secrets no matter how much champagne I got him to drink. Oh, well, it was a fun evening and I look forward to next year already.

This concludes our trip to Fantasy Land!

Now back to reality! I managed to keep up with my pages while I was "out partying." I even did something in my moleskine which I haven't done in a long time.

First, here are my latest journal pages....

March 6:

The prompt for this one was "present"....if you remember, the previous one was "past" so you know where these are going! I used a stamp of a gift for the background.

March 7:

This prompt was, yep...."future" This one was a quickie! I glued down a piece of paper towel that I had used to wipe off excess paint, a piece of scrapbook paper, and a favorite quote. If you're interested in joining this March challenge you can find it here.

And finally here is the page I did in my moleskine. This moleskine is the larger sized one. I've done two of the smaller ones but I like this larger size best.

The face is a stamp and then I just added everything else.

Well, that's what I've been doing the past few days. I'm also working on some more postcards. What have you been doing? Are you being creative? I hope so. It always makes me feel better when I create something.

Have a fun day....

  1. I love your journal pages, beautiful sayings too. The moleskine piece is stunning but i am not sure what moleskine is? I adore the art work though

Great doodling around the face stamp too!!

  6. Where do find these wonderful quotes? I am in love with that last page, too. I'm so glad that you had a good time last night--did you take your journal with you for during the commercials or were you too busy with Josh?

  7. The moleskine piece looks like a Tarot card. Really nice work!! Um, what did you "two" do AFTER the awards? Never mind, I don't want to know! xoxoxo

I went to Oscar parties in 2001 when I first moved to Los Angeles. so it makes perfect sense that you could know someone and have the chance to go, too!
    Maybe next year!?!?

  15. That zentangle like woman is really awesome. You really excel at that form.

Glad you had a great time with Josh

  16. Janet your art is awesome as always. I want to thank you for being such a good blogging friend through the years. I have struggled with my art as you know, yet you have always been there with encouragement.
Finally I feel as if I've hit a stride. You are an inspiration.

  17. I'm having such a hard time keeping up with blog reading these days..but I always try to stop by.. Kudos to you for all your journaling...your stamina is admirable.

  19. Hi Janet good to see you again. I love your March 7th art page YUM. Yes the paint was golden which is so rich with colour.

  21. I have said it more than once.. these journal pages are brilliant!

sounds like you might need a foot spa and massage ;) xo

  22. Living here on the east coast I had to go to bed before the party ended…
Love all the new journal pages and those are wonderful quotes. The one by Eleanor is one of my daughter’s favorite quotes and one she lives by, this is evident by the way she keeps trying.
I have been playing around with zentangle lately. I have been zentangling and using stamps by Catherine Moore, however nothing I have done is as wonderful as the piece of zentangle you show here.
That is a fantastic piece of art.

  23. WOW---Loved the face with the doodles and the journal page with the big words. Thank you for #23 postcard, it came yesterday. A very special number, mother was born on the 23 of June.

  24. So glad your evening went as expected and you had such a great time. The Journal pages are wonderful as usual, but that moleskin piece is absolutely Stunning.

  25. Love those journal pages and quotes. You blended in the stamped face with your drawn lines so well, I thought the whole thing was drawn when I first saw it!

I didn't even watch the awards this year - I think that's the first time in years. So sorry I missed seeing you in your silver dress - though I'd probably have been green with envy when I saw who your date was! (Now I know why he didn't return my calls the other night ;)

  26. My feet would kill too if I wore the shoes you wore to the awards for even an hour, let alone a whole evening ~ ;)

I thought I was having a deja vu moment when I realised I had commented on your pages over on your Flickr site. lol Wonderful drawings and pages, Janet!
