My Soul Journal....

WARNING!!! This post has a lot of photos! Back last year I took a little class with Mary Ann Moss....it was a stencil journal book class. I cut all my pages and spray painted them but didn't ever finish them (what a surprise!)

When I was on my blog break I decided to work on the pages but I couldn't remember how the book was supposed to be assembled. Luckily, I discovered the Urban Journal class and I used a modified version of that style to put my book together. I used the cover from a small book I had in the garage and it fit perfectly. I'm going to jazz up the covers a little more but for now here's what I have....

Page one and the inside end paper.

Pages two and three.

Pages four and five.

Pages six and seven.

Pages eight and nine. I sort of messed up my writing but I think it's ok.

Pages 10 and 11.

Pages 12 and 13. (The yellow bird is not quite as bright as it appears here.)

Pages 14 and 15.

Pages 16 and 17.

Pages 18 and 19.

Pages 20 and 21.

Pages 22 and 23.

Page 24 and the endpaper.

I love this little book! I'm calling it My Soul Journal.

  10. I meant to add, that I never finished mine either from that class...but that seems to be the norm for me lately. I am an expert at "starting" things. Now you have me thinking, I'd better dig that one out and get it finished!

Wow they are truly amazing....I could see each one of these pages made into commercial journals for the masses....they are so beautiful...if you asked me to picked which I like best it would be difficult....Janet you have to market these... I love covers that look like this.... How about a sending them to a craft magazine? Wonderful work!

  16. Janet, this is beautiful. I think it is the nicest example I have seen of a stencilry journal. I think because you have used a very cohesive colourscheme throuought.

  17. And it's just wonderful, Janet--I would love to have a place here where you can look at everyone's journal (kind of like the sketchbook project). I love looking at the real thing, and not just photos.
