Beginning a Home Project....

Hi Gang! I just have a couple of minutes today....HB and I are re-doing the office and we're taking everything out of the room and starting from scratch. Big job! But I wanted to pop in and thank you for all the birthday wishes for HB. He read them all, and he enjoyed his day.

Since I'm not posting any art today I thought I'd just tempt you with a piece of birthday cake!! I slaved in the kitchen for hours to make this cake for HB....

Isn't it beautiful?!! And it was delicious....probably terribly bad for us but tasted so good. It's just a small cake....enough for each of us to have 3 or 4 slices.

Disclaimer: this cake was actually purchased at a local Mexican supermarket!

  5. What a sweet cake. I love those mini-cakes, they are so cute. Just the perfect size, and not around long enough to do too much damage.

Ah, we need to totally remove everything from our office and put back about half of it.

  9. How fun!!! We had tres leches cake at a party with my galfriends - truely baked 'from scratch' by a Latina lady she worked with - mmmmmmm
I had delightful flourless chocolate torte tonight when a group went out for a BD dinner, so I'm not too envious.
Good luck with the office - & happy BD to HB!!
(the word is foxylah - must mean foxy lady, not??)
