I Am....

No art today....at least nothing I want to share yet. But I do want to tell you about an amazing film we just watched last night and one that I think everyone should see.

I first heard about this movie on Oprah's show and I knew I wanted to see it. We live in an area that has somewhat limited access to films other than the big blockbusters and anything that involves mayhem and madness. So we had to wait for Netflix. It was well worth the wait.

I Am is thought provoking, inspiring, uplifting and gives us hope for the human race. I hope more people see this film and take its message to heart. Here is a link to their website with more information.

Now back to the studio. I'm playing with watercolors today. Stay tuned!

  5. Oh Janet I have wanted to see this since it first came out the begining of last year but could find in no where. I went on forums looking, and searched again just the other day to no avail. I even searched through Netflix and couldn't find it. We don't subscribe to netflix and maybe it's not here in Canada... but I'm bound and determined to see it!! It speaks to me! Glad you loved it, I know I will too!

    I recommend "My Name is Kahn", about an autistic (augsberger's syndrome) young Muslim, set in San Francisco.

  15. on Monday , i sat made a new journal out of junk envelopes (photos coming soon) and watch three movies, gullivers travels, the rite and the switch and even if theyweren't that great i had the most wonderful time
