I kept her somewhat monotone. I loved the background and didn't want to do too much to it. The number "1" in the lower right was something I wanted to keep since this is the first time I've done an under painting like this. I did the shoulders of her jacket as if they had faded and run a little bit. HB doesn't like it. What do you think?

She is stunning! I love what you did with the colors this time, she looks so soft and that beautiful neckline. There are a lot of depth in there too. The way she sort of fade/wanish is a great detail too. Make it a lot more exciting I think. And the background..... no wonder you didn't want to cover it too much.

ReplyDeleteThe monotone is really striking. I see Georgia as a 40's woman with a new "bob" and I think she is wearing shoulder pads, even though they don't show...She's quite dashing.

I'm with Sheila on this one, and then again in a few paintings or so you'll do something different again and it will be another fave! I love this one - she seems different to the others. Youre not channelling from another plane are you by chance?

ReplyDeleteAlso, there's something about her expression. It really speaks to me. It's like she's finally revealed something to the viewer that has been weighing heavily on her mind, and she's waiting for a response. But not in a meek, or scared kind of way, but rather in a slightly cocky kind of manner. Like "Whaddaya think of that?!?!"
