It sure didn't take me long to make a mess on my new work table!
I started making a card for a friend of mine who is in hospice with maybe a year to live. She loves anything red so I made sure to include it in her card...
This is the same technique I used to make postcards last year. You can see some of them here. I love making these gals wearing hats.
I hope she brings a little joy to my friend.

I am sure it will, it is beautiful, i love your girls, they are all different, I love how you put the hats on , i love.
ReplyDeleteSorry about your friend but she will love the card!! That you are thinking her with love!!

ReplyDeleteGreat card, Janet! I'm sure it will bring a smile to your friend. I'm so sorry for her circumstances, though. On a much lighter note, though, I'm glad you are "christening" your new art space with some wonderful art-making!
ReplyDeleteEvery worktable needs a baptism. Well done.
ReplyDeleteLovely card I am sure she will love it. I love the hat. My mom loved to wear hats and she loved to wear red so this makes me think if her.

ReplyDeleteYou've broken the spell and made a mess on your table, hope this now leads to lots of inspiration. Your regular art updates have been missed.
What a nice card, and the ones you linked to too. You should do them more often, they represent your cretivity in a beautiful way. I also remember the beautiful ones you made with scarves in winter scenes.
ReplyDeleteNow you made me want to use my colors again, but I'll have to wait till next week.
Have a wonderful weekend!
That's what work-tables are for...making messes! Sorry about your friend, that must be so hard for you, but she will love the card- it's beautiful!

Even though I hardly ever wear them, I love the look of hats. The card is so cute, Janet, I bet it will bring her a smile. That is so thoughtful of you, including her favorite color too.
ReplyDeleteSorry to have been so absentee this summer. I've just been playing catch-up on your posts and I'm so sorry about your fall! Gosh, your poor leg. I don't know how you've managed to to do all you've done with your studio etc - and in this heat we've been having too! Hope you heal quickly! ((hugs)) Hope this takes too, as I still seem to be having problems with some blogger blogs...
She will be so cheered to receive this fun card! And a new table? Perfect!
