I hope you can see it. I tried two different times to get a good photo but not sure. I had some excess ink from a stencil on this page and just started drawing over it. I might do more to her...add some color...or maybe not. Who knows!
The only other thing I did yesterday was another journal page...
I don't think it's finished...I got this far and stopped. I seem to do that a lot with journal pages. I love doing backgrounds but then I don't have much interest in going on from there.

I also want to tell you about a FREE class I just signed up for...you can learn more about it here. Justscroll down to the bottom of the post.

If I finished all the projects I have started it would be wonderful, a mental freedom. I am ready to see how your new girl turns out.
ReplyDeleteWinter is starting to get me down, I may have cabin fever. There are just to many cloudy days.
I am working on a story (fiction)that I will start to share as I progress. I am in the mood to write and I found a picture of a child that got me wanting to know her. But like most old pictures, no story. So I am making one up. It is something I like to do. Big Hugs girfriend!
Hang in there...spring is just around the corner!
DeleteYou are really on the go at the moment. This latest girl looks great as usual, and she's going to be beautiful whatever you decide. In fact she's quite intersting as she is now. Loosing interest when the background is done, I even don't come as far as that. But, I have something new I'll try soon. I'm just chewing the idea a bit more. Today I started cleaning my photo file, three years of doing nothing isn't good I can tell you. Enjoy your challenge of 29 faces, which means alot of good posts to read for the rest of us I hope.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Laila. When it comes to art I'm either feast or famine and right now I seem to be in the feast mode.
DeleteI love your face Janet. She is quite wonderful and the subtle stencil in the background is waiting to be adorned. Journal backgrounds, well maybe you are doing the journal you want to do who says it needs to be more? xox
ReplyDeleteThat's true, Corrine...it is my journal to make what I want, isn't it!
DeleteI can see why you don't want to go over the journal page....because it's so perfect and beautiful just as it is. I'd just put a nice quote on it and leave it. I love it...and could stare at that one all day long.... Good job!! Thanks for the heads up on Carolyns class!!
ReplyDeleteHugs Giggles
Thanks...a quote is a good idea.
DeleteI like both of these pieces. The journal page looks very intriguing. I really looked close to see all that you did. Thanks for posting about the FREE workshop. I signed up, too.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Teresa!
DeleteLove your face, I to am playing along, off to see the free class
ReplyDeleteYea! I was hoping you would do more faces. I love them.
DeleteLOVE your face!!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Serena!
DeleteLook forward to seeing more of your faces. Love the hooded eyelids of this beautiful lady.
ReplyDeleteI was afraid she looked a little sleepy!
DeleteI do that with journal pages too. I make a background and then it just sits there for weeks or months on end, until I have an idea and flip through my backgrounds to find one that fits. Love the face too
ReplyDeleteMe, too, Carin...I have some backgrounds from a couple of years ago that still don't have anything done to them!
DeleteSo happy to see you in the challenge! Very nice lady, thanks for sharing ☺
ReplyDeleteAnd those backgrounds are screaming for a portrait!!
... or maybe you are an abstract painter?
A little of both...I like doing faces but I also like doing abstract art.
DeleteSometimes a background is a piece of art on it's own. It looks beautyfull.
ReplyDeleteYour face is super. I love how the background and little bit of color works.
Thank you, Angenita.
DeleteI like very much how the face emerges from the colors on the paper. Most especially like the yellow streaks. I want to discover more about who she is and why she has yellow on her face. There has to be a story.
ReplyDeleteWhimsical Annie LOL
Thanks, Annie...when she tells me her story I'll pass it on.
ReplyDeleteWell, she looks might fine to me Janet!
ReplyDeleteLov'in the face, Janet! :]
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing the link to the workshop... looks inspiring, off to investigate ~xx
