Sketching a Little Bit...

I know I'm always apologizing for not being around much lately but things just keep coming up and they keep me away from the computer. I'm terribly behind in answering comments and visiting your blogs. I hope you understand, and please know that I'll get around as soon as I can.
*************************************************
The big painting has been put away for a bit. I was getting bored with it! I'll finish it but it won't be tomorrow.

Last night I drew a face in my sketch pad...

I like how she turned out
so maybe I'll try to do her with paint later on.

****************************************
So far I've received nine of the ten postcards from iHanna's postcard swap. Here are the most recent two I've received...

This one is from Holly

This one is from Elizabeth...no blog address included.

So far I've heard from nine of the ten people I sent postcards to, and I've received nine. This is a better percentage than most years I've participated. I hate it when I send postcards off and never know if they arrived or not.

Thanks for hanging in there with me! I hope to be a better blog pal during the next week.

  3. Your new one looks interesting, great hairstyle. I'm certain she'll look good even with paint.
Take all the time you need for other doings, that's useful from time to time and you know we'll all still be here.

  4. Love your lady's tangle hair! You don't need to apologise, your art is always worth waiting to see no matter how often you post. I actually prefer it when the blogs I am following don't have a regular pattern of posting. It is always then such a lovey surprise, when they do.

  5. Great face, love those lips, and that hair is really awesome!
You can always pull those faces off to a tee, you do them really well. Anyone who is as prolific as you are needs a little walk away once in awhile. I know things are always "percolating", even when you are doing other things. Take care!

  8. Love her hair! You are not allowed to put pressure on yourself about blog visits because then that means the rest of us have to. You can when you can! We know you love us. :)

  9. Like Lisa said, come when you can. This latest girl with the wild hair, now she really needs to go to the beauty shop. I mean..ahem...I mean the shop where your other art hangs. Well, you know what I mean. She is awesome.

  14. You know, Janet, I think slowing down in the visiting is just a natural progression of blogging. After six years, I find I'm a better visitor when I drop in from time to time instead of following a schedule. Then when I visit, I'm looking at more posts from one person but I also leave comments on each of them of read. AND. I like being there because I'm actually in the mood to visit.

I'm also going in another direction with my blog. I'm only posting when I feel like it and I'm letting more of my less seen self show through.

  15. Hello Janet! :]
    No worries... Totally understand.
It is hard to get caught up & create, at the same time.
Can feel overwhelming, at least to me it does. Take your time... enjoy...

  17. Do not feel pinned to your computer Sweet friend, we all have other things to do. I have been knitting and the truth is most people are not interested in what, when or why I am knitting. So I am not very interesting right now. I do have some pictures to share, no...not of knitting! I just have to find time to do it. I think of you everyday girlfriend, Mary
