T for a Tall Cup of Water...and a Little Bit of Art

It's time for T for Tuesday and that means to show something with a drink. Since I mostly drink water that's what I have for you...plain, icy, cold water. I always have my plastic cup with me wherever I am. And since I was playing in the studio...

that's where you'll find my big blue cup!
It's always close at hand.

I'm just getting started on these two small canvases so they aren't very exciting to look at. They will eventually look something like this...

I did two different ones like this and they both sold...
so I'm making more!

And here's a close-up of that blue cup...it's almost empty. Time for a refill! I like that it has a lid because I've accidentally put a dirty paintbrush into other cups when they were on my work table!
Haven't we all done that!!

  1. Love the bird. I'm not surprised that they sell well. I think folks have a love affair going on with birds and other wildlife. Besides, your bird is wonderful!!!!!

  2. Great bird and great cup, yes, no paint brushes to muck up the drink. Good idea. xox

  3. Yes! As soon as I saw the cup by your art stuff I thought--so glad it has a cover on it.
I love the colors you are using on the canvases. Sneak peek--looks like they will be great! Happy T-Day! :)

  4. Your bird knocks my socks off. I can see why it sold!

  5. Love your art, especially the bird -I can see why it sold! Your cup is so pretty - I don't usually take my drinks into my craft room as it is only a short step to the living room and I like to get up every so often! Sorry to be late -lots going on around here! Hugs, Chrisx

  6. As your host I BELATEDLY welcome you to T. By the time you linked, I was already out of internet reach, so was unable to welcome you properly.

I am back now and so, so glad you joined us on Tuesday, and I PROMISE to be a far more attentive host, providing you accept my apology for visiting so late and join us again.

I have never understood why people don't use lids on their mugs/cups when they are in their craft or other work areas. It just makes sense, not just, as you point out, to keep the paint out, but also whatever other detritus is flying around in your craft room. Your blue cup is so much prettier than the one I take with me, and it serves not only a purpose, but inspiration, too, I'm sure.

I absolutely adore that bird, but also love the doodles and flowers that surround it. I can see why it would sell so well, and I hope to see more than just a sneak peek at the ones you are creating now.

Thanks beyond belief for joining us for T this week, and I look forward to many, many more chances to visit your art. Now I'm off to see what else I've missed before I post something now that I'm back.

  7. Hi Janet, thanks for your visit. I didn't see your link on Tuesday, sorry. Love your blue cup, too. Have anice weekend, hugs, Valerie
